Possible Causes
Loose compression fitting on GE water inlet, Cracked plastic water line, Leaking drain hose connection, Over-tightened or cross-threaded fitting
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Turn off water at the shutoff valve and unplug the unit. Dry any standing water to prevent slipping.
- Inspect rear connections: Pull the unit out and examine the water inlet connection, drain hose, and any visible tubing for drips.
- Tighten fittings: Gently snug compression nuts and hose clamps. Do not overtighten plastic fittings.
- Replace damaged tubing: If you see cracks or bulges in the plastic line, replace it with GE-approved water tubing of the same size.
- Test for leaks: Turn water back on and observe all joints for several minutes before pushing the unit back into place.
