Gevi
Entrained Air / Mineral Content in Ice
Ice appears cloudy or white instead of clear.

Possible Causes
High mineral content in water, rapid freezing on evaporator, insufficient water filtration, scale on evaporator surface
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Cleaning and water changes can be done with the unit unplugged.
Improving ice clarity:
- Use filtered water: Fill the reservoir with filtered or low-mineral water to reduce cloudiness.
- Descale evaporator: Clean the evaporator plate with a vinegar solution to remove scale that can trap air.
- Change water frequently: Replace the water in the reservoir daily to minimize dissolved gases and impurities.
- Accept design limits: Many countertop Gevi ice makers naturally produce cloudy ice due to their freezing method; this is normal and not a defect.
