How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the ice maker and shut off water before cleaning.
- Discard ice and water: Empty the ice bin and reservoir completely.
- Clean interior surfaces: Wash the bin, reservoir, and accessible internal surfaces with warm water and a food-safe sanitizer. Rinse thoroughly.
- Sanitize water path: Run a cleaning cycle with a manufacturer-approved sanitizer or a mild bleach solution (following Gorenje guidelines), then flush with several tanks of fresh water.
- Dry thoroughly: Leave the lid open to air-dry the interior before restarting.
- Regular maintenance: Clean the unit every 1–3 months depending on usage and water quality.
