Possible Causes
Blocked drain hose, Failed drain pump motor, Clogged internal drain channel, Kinked external drain line
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the unit and be prepared for water spillage when opening drain components.
- Inspect external drain hose: Check for kinks, sharp bends, or clogs. Detach the hose from the household drain and flush it with warm water.
- Clean internal drain channel: Remove the ice bin and internal covers to access the drain outlet. Use a flexible brush or pipe cleaner to remove slime or scale.
- Access drain pump: From the rear or bottom, locate the drain pump assembly. Remove any debris from the pump inlet and impeller area.
- Test pump: With power disconnected, measure pump coil resistance. If open or shorted, replace the pump. For further confirmation, briefly energize the pump (qualified persons only) to see if it runs.
- Reassemble and test: Refit all hoses securely, ensuring proper slope for gravity-assisted drainage. Restore power and run a test cycle to confirm E11 is cleared.
