Possible Causes

Defective touch control panel, Moisture ingress behind control panel, Damaged ribbon cable between UI and main PCB

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Disconnect power before removing the front control panel.

  • Dry the control area: If condensation or spills have reached the panel, allow the unit to dry completely. Use a dry cloth around the panel edges.
  • Inspect ribbon cable: Remove the front panel and check the flat cable for kinks, cracks, or corrosion at the connectors. Reseat both ends firmly.
  • Check for stuck buttons: Press each button individually to feel for sticking. Clean the panel surface with a mild detergent and soft cloth.
  • Visual inspection of UI board: Look for burnt components or corrosion on the user interface PCB.
  • Replace UI module: If E14 persists and buttons remain unresponsive, replace the complete user interface / display board with the correct Gorenje part.
