Possible Causes
Internal water leak into base tray, Blocked drain causing overflow, Stuck safety float switch, Cracked water reservoir or hose
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the unit and turn off the water supply. Be prepared for water spillage when tilting or opening the base.
- Access base tray: Remove the rear or bottom panel to inspect the base for standing water. Carefully tilt the unit to drain water into a shallow pan or towels.
- Locate float switch: Identify the safety float and its microswitch. Ensure the float moves freely and is not jammed by debris.
- Dry and reset: Thoroughly dry the base and float switch area. Once dry, the float should drop and the switch should reset.
- Find leak source: Run a short test with water supply on while observing. Check all hoses, the reservoir, pump housing, and connections for drips.
- Clear drains: Clean the internal drain channel and external hose to prevent future overflows.
- Replace damaged parts: If the reservoir, hose, or float switch is cracked or faulty, replace with Gorenje-approved components before returning the unit to service.
