Possible Causes

Clogged water inlet filter screen, Defective water inlet valve coil, Kinked or frozen water supply line, Low household water pressure

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Disconnect power and close the water supply valve before servicing.

  • Verify water supply: Ensure the household shutoff valve to the Gorenje ice maker is fully open. Check that other taps in the home have normal pressure.
  • Inspect supply hose: Pull the unit forward and inspect the water hose for kinks, crushing, or freezing (if installed in a cold area). Straighten or thaw as needed.
  • Clean inlet filter: Turn off water, disconnect the hose from the rear water inlet valve. Remove and rinse the small mesh filter screen inside the valve fitting to clear sediment.
  • Test inlet valve coil: With the valve exposed and power disconnected, measure coil resistance with a multimeter. Compare to Gorenje specifications; an open or shorted coil indicates a bad valve.
  • Check for leaks at fittings: Reconnect the hose securely using new sealing washers if needed.
  • Replace water inlet valve: If the coil is defective or the valve does not open when energized, install a new Gorenje-compatible water inlet valve assembly.
