Possible Causes
Failed ambient NTC sensor, Sensor dislodged from mounting point, Damaged sensor harness or connector at PCB
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Disconnect power before removing panels or control covers.
- Locate ambient sensor: This NTC is typically mounted near the air intake grille or behind the front panel to sense room or cabinet temperature.
- Visual inspection: Confirm the sensor is not hanging loose or touching hot components. Re-secure it in its original clip or bracket.
- Measure resistance: Disconnect the sensor and measure resistance at room temperature. Compare to Gorenje's specified NTC curve. Replace if open, shorted, or far out of range.
- Check harness: Inspect the cable from the sensor to the main PCB for cuts, pinches, or rodent damage. Repair or replace as needed.
- Reconnect and test: Install a new sensor if required, reconnect to the PCB, restore power, and verify that E6 clears and the unit operates normally.
