Possible Causes
Stuck ice level arm in down position, Faulty infrared level sensor, Disconnected sensor harness, Control board not reading sensor
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the unit before working near moving parts.
- Free the level arm: If equipped, ensure the mechanical arm can move up when the bin is full and is not blocked by ice or bin misalignment.
- Clean optical sensors: Wipe the emitter and receiver lenses with a soft cloth to remove frost or dirt.
- Check wiring: Verify the sensor harness is securely connected to the main PCB.
- Replace sensor: If the sensor does not change state when the bin is full, replace the ice level sensor assembly.
