Possible Causes
Blown internal line fuse, Faulty power switch, Loose mains terminal block, Damaged power cord
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the ice maker before opening any electrical compartments. Only proceed if you are comfortable working with mains wiring.
- Verify outlet: Confirm the outlet is live by testing with another appliance.
- Inspect power cord: Check for cuts, burns, or crushed sections. Replace the cord if any damage is found.
- Access terminal block: Remove the rear cover and locate the mains terminal block and internal fuse holder.
- Check fuse: Remove the fuse and test for continuity. If blown, replace with the same type and rating. If it blows again immediately, there is a short that must be diagnosed.
- Test power switch: If your Gorenje model has a rocker or push switch, test continuity across the switch when turned on. Replace if open.
- Reassemble and test: After replacing any faulty components, reassemble, plug in, and verify that the unit powers up.
