Possible Causes

Closed or kinked water supply hose, Clogged inlet filter screen at Grundig water valve, Failed water inlet solenoid valve, Low household water pressure

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Turn off the water supply and unplug the unit before disconnecting any hoses.

Steps to check:

  • Verify water supply: Confirm the tap feeding the ice maker is fully open. Check that the flexible hose is not kinked or crushed behind the unit.
  • Test water pressure: Disconnect the hose from the back of the ice maker and briefly open the tap into a bucket. A strong, steady flow is required. If weak, correct the plumbing issue.
  • Clean inlet filter: At the water inlet valve on the back of the Grundig unit, remove the hose and inspect the small mesh filter. Rinse away debris under running water and reinstall.
  • Check valve operation: Reconnect the hose, restore power, and start a cycle. Listen for a click and water flow when the valve should open. If there is power to the valve but no water passes, replace the water inlet valve assembly.

Note: Use only compatible Grundig or OEM-spec water inlet valves to ensure correct flow and pressure.
