Steps to check:
- Clean sensor area: Many Grundig ice makers use an optical sensor near the top of the bin. Wipe the sensor windows with a soft cloth and warm water to remove frost, scale, or film.
- Check alignment: Ensure the emitter and receiver modules are facing each other correctly and not knocked out of position by ice or bins.
- Inspect wiring: Follow the sensor harness back to the control board. Confirm connectors are fully seated and wires are not pinched.
- Test operation: After cleaning, restore power and empty the bin. The unit should resume ice production. If the error persists, replace the ice level sensor assembly.
