• Test switch: Disconnect the switch and check continuity while opening and closing the door. Replace if it does not change state reliably.
• Inspect wiring: Verify the switch harness is intact and firmly connected to the control board.
• Re-test operation: After repair, close the door firmly and confirm that the E18 code clears and the unit starts a cycle.
