Safety first: Unplug the ice maker before opening the reservoir or pump compartment.

• Access the pump: Remove the front or side panel to reach the water reservoir and pump assembly. Note hose routing for reassembly.
• Check for obstructions: Disconnect the pump from the hoses and inspect the impeller area for scale, plastic pieces, or sludge. Clean thoroughly with warm water.
• Bleed air: Refill the reservoir and ensure the pump inlet is fully submerged. Some models require tilting slightly or running a priming cycle to remove trapped air.
• Inspect wiring: Confirm the pump connector is fully seated and wires are intact. Repair any damaged sections.
• Test pump motor: With the pump removed and using appropriate test equipment, apply rated voltage briefly to see if the motor runs smoothly. If it does not run or is noisy, replace the circulation pump.
