Internal Drainage Problem
Water accumulates inside the ice bin or cabinet instead of draining away properly.

Possible Causes
Clogged internal drain port, Frozen drain line, Improper unit leveling, Drain hose installed with upward loops
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the unit before working with water inside the cabinet.
- Clear drain port: Locate the drain opening at the bottom of the bin or reservoir. Use a soft brush or pipe cleaner to remove debris or scale.
- Defrost drain line: If the drain hose is frozen, allow the unit to thaw or gently warm the hose with a towel soaked in warm water. Do not use open flames or high heat.
- Level the unit: Use a spirit level to ensure the ice maker is slightly tilted toward the drain as specified by Hansa. Adjust leveling feet accordingly.
- Correct hose routing: Ensure the drain hose runs downhill without loops that can trap water and cause backflow.
- Test drainage: Pour a small amount of water into the bin and confirm it flows freely out of the drain.
