How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Unplug the unit before adjusting or replacing switches.
- Locate the door/lid switch: Typically found near the hinge or frame of the ice bin door or service lid.
- Check alignment: Ensure the door closes fully and presses the switch actuator. Adjust hinges or latch if needed.
- Test the switch: Remove the switch from the housing and check continuity with a multimeter while pressing and releasing the actuator. Replace if it does not open/close properly.
- Inspect wiring: Confirm the switch wires are intact and the connector is secure at the main board.
- Replace switch: Install a new Hisense-compatible door/lid switch if defective, then test operation.
