Possible Causes
Dirty or blocked ice level sensor, Misaligned infrared emitter/receiver, Failed ice bin full sensor board, Loose wiring to sensor
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Unplug the ice maker before cleaning or adjusting sensors.
- Locate the ice level sensor: In many Hisense models, an infrared sensor pair is mounted near the ice chute or bin opening.
- Clean the sensor lenses: Use a soft cloth slightly dampened with water to wipe the emitter and receiver windows. Do not use abrasive cleaners.
- Check for obstructions: Make sure ice is not piled up directly in front of the sensor and that the bin is properly seated.
- Inspect alignment: Confirm the emitter and receiver are directly facing each other and not bent or loose.
- Check wiring: Ensure the sensor harness is firmly connected at both the sensor and main PCB.
- Replace sensor module: If cleaning and alignment do not clear E7, replace the ice level sensor assembly with a Hisense-compatible part.
