Possible Causes
Harvest cycle not activating, Weak hot gas valve, Excessive scale on evaporator surface, Incorrect evaporator temperature sensing
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Unplug the unit before touching the evaporator or refrigerant components.
- Defrost and descale: Allow the unit to fully defrost, then clean the evaporator plate with a non-abrasive cloth and descaling solution to remove mineral buildup.
- Check harvest operation: During a cycle, listen for the click of the hot gas valve and observe whether ice begins to slide off. If not, test the valve coil and wiring.
- Verify sensor placement: Ensure the evaporator sensor is correctly attached to the plate so the control can detect when to enter harvest.
- Replace faulty components: If the valve coil is open or the sensor is out of spec, replace with Hisense-compatible parts.
