Possible Causes
Stuck float switch, Faulty electronic water level sensor, Inlet valve not closing fully, Control board not shutting off fill
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Unplug the unit and shut off water supply immediately if overflow occurs.
- Inspect float or sensor: Remove the reservoir cover and verify the float is not jammed by scale or debris. Clean and ensure free movement.
- Test float switch: Use a multimeter to check that the float switch opens and closes as the float moves. Replace if it fails.
- Check inlet valve: With water supply off, disconnect the outlet side of the valve. Turn water on briefly; if water continues to flow when the valve is not energized, replace the valve.
- Control logic: If mechanical parts are good but overfill persists, the main control PCB may not be reading the level correctly and may need replacement.
