Possible Causes
Moisture under control panel, Worn membrane switch, Loose ribbon cable, Faulty UI PCB
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Unplug before removing the control panel.
Steps:
- Dry the panel: If condensation or spills occurred, allow the unit to dry with the lid open for several hours.
- Inspect ribbon cable: Remove the panel and reseat the ribbon cable between the UI and main board.
- Check for corrosion: Look for green/white corrosion on connectors; clean gently with contact cleaner if present.
- Test individual buttons: With the unit reassembled, test each button. If some work and others do not, the membrane switch is likely failing.
Replace the user interface board or membrane switch assembly if buttons remain unresponsive.
