How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Unplug before accessing the reservoir or pump.
Steps:
- Check reservoir level: Ensure water is above the minimum mark. Refill with clean water.
- Clean intake: Remove the ice basket and inspect the intake at the bottom of the reservoir. Remove debris or scale with a soft brush.
- Bleed air: Fill the reservoir fully, then tilt the unit slightly backward and forward (while unplugged) to move trapped air away from the pump intake.
- Inspect internal hoses: Remove the rear/bottom panel and verify that hoses from the pump to the ice tray are not kinked or disconnected.
Repair: If the pump does not run or only hums, replace the water circulation pump. If hoses are brittle or cracked, replace them to prevent leaks.
