Ice melts quickly in the storage basket

Understanding: Most countertop ice makers store ice in a non-freezer bin; some melting is normal.

Steps to reduce melting:

• Improve environment: Move the unit away from heat sources and direct sunlight. Use in a cooler room if possible.
• Limit lid opening: Open the lid only when removing ice to reduce warm air entering.
• Increase production cycles: Run the unit continuously during use so fresh ice replaces melted ice.
• Check cooling performance: If ice is soft or wet immediately after production, follow reduced ice production troubleshooting to ensure proper cooling.

If the unit previously kept ice firmer and now does not, a cooling performance issue may be developing and should be checked by a technician.
