Water leaking from the drain port at the back or bottom of the ice maker

Possible Causes
Loose drain cap, Worn or cracked drain gasket, Cross-threaded drain plug, Damaged drain fitting on reservoir
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Unplug the unit and move it to a sink or area where water spillage is safe.
Steps:
- Empty reservoir: Open the drain plug and allow all water to drain. Dry the area around the drain.
- Inspect plug and gasket: Remove the plug completely and examine the rubber gasket for cracks, flattening, or deformation. Replace if damaged.
- Check threads and seating: Ensure the plug threads are not stripped and that it can be tightened fully without cross-threading.
- Test for leaks: Refill the reservoir with a small amount of water and check the drain area for drips. Tighten slightly more if needed, but do not overtighten plastic parts.
If the drain fitting molded into the reservoir is cracked, the reservoir assembly will need replacement.
