Buttons are hard to press or stick, sometimes not registering

Safety: Unplug the Hoover ice maker before removing the control panel.

• Clean around buttons: Wipe the control area with a slightly damp cloth to remove sticky residue. Do not allow liquid to run behind the panel.
• Remove fascia: If possible, remove the front fascia and clean any debris from around the button plungers.
• Inspect membrane: If the membrane switch layer is cracked or worn, replace the user interface/control panel assembly.
