Ice maker does not turn on at all, no lights or display

Safety: Always disconnect the appliance from the mains before opening any panels. Only test live voltage if you are trained and equipped.

• Check external power: Verify the outlet works by plugging in another appliance. Reset any tripped breakers or replace blown fuses in the home panel.
• Inspect power cord: Look for cuts, burns, or crushed sections. If damaged, replace the Hoover power cord assembly.
• Access control board: Remove the rear or top cover to reach the main PCB. Check the incoming mains connector for a secure fit.
• Check internal fuse: Many Hoover boards have a small glass or ceramic fuse. Test it with a multimeter and replace with the same rating if open. If it blows again immediately, a short exists and a technician should investigate.
