Water pooling inside the ice bin or cabinet

Safety: Disconnect power before clearing drains.

• Clear drain hole: Locate the internal drain at the bottom of the ice bin or cabinet. Use a soft brush or pipe cleaner to remove debris and scale.
• Flush with warm water: Pour warm (not boiling) water into the drain to melt ice and flush out blockages.
• Inspect drain hose: Check the hose routing for kinks or sags that can trap water. Straighten or reroute as needed.
• Test drain pump: On pumped‑drain Hoover models, verify the pump runs and discharges water. Replace the pump if it hums but does not move water.
