Unit makes ice but cubes are too small or thin

Safety First: Disconnect power and water before servicing internal water components.

• Check water level: Inspect the reservoir during fill. If level is low, clean and adjust the float switch or water level sensor per the service manual.
• Clean distribution tubes: Remove the spray tubes or distribution trough and clean all holes with a small brush or toothpick to ensure even flow over the evaporator.
• Verify water pressure: Ensure supply pressure meets Hoshizaki specs. Replace clogged filters and clean inlet screens.
• Reduce water temperature: If possible, supply cooler water or avoid routing through hot areas.

When to call a technician: If cube size remains small with proper water level and flow, control timing or refrigeration issues may be involved.
