Possible Causes
Partially clogged water inlet valve screen, Low household water pressure, Kinked water supply line, Incorrect water level sensor calibration
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Turn off water and unplug the unit before disconnecting water lines.
- Check water pressure: Ensure household water pressure is within Hotpoint's recommended range. Very low pressure can cause small cubes.
- Inspect supply line: Straighten any kinks or sharp bends in the line feeding the ice maker.
- Clean inlet screen: Remove the water line at the inlet valve and clean the small screen filter of debris.
- Adjust fill (if supported): Some models allow minor water level adjustments via the control. Refer to your manual to increase fill time slightly.
After adjustments, allow a few cycles to see if cube size improves.
