Possible Causes
Failed water circulation pump motor, Blocked pump inlet screen, Airlock in pump, Loose pump wiring connector
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Unplug the unit and shut off water before servicing the pump.
- 1. Listen for pump operation: During ice-making, you should hear water trickling and the pump running. If silent, suspect pump or power to pump.
- 2. Access pump: Remove front or lower panel to reach the water circulation pump in the reservoir area.
- 3. Clear inlet: Remove the pump from its mounting and inspect the inlet screen or filter for debris, scale, or slime. Clean thoroughly.
- 4. Check impeller: Spin the impeller by hand. It should rotate freely. If seized or broken, replace the pump assembly.
- 5. Test voltage and continuity: With power applied (use caution), verify the pump is receiving the correct voltage from the control board. With power off, test the pump coil for continuity. Replace the pump if open or if it receives power but does not run.
Tip: After reinstalling, fill the reservoir and tilt the unit slightly to help purge air from the pump before starting a cycle.
