Possible Causes
Water leak into base pan, Stuck float in safety overflow switch, Cracked reservoir or hose, Loose pump or valve connection
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Unplug the ice maker and shut off the water supply immediately when a leak is suspected.
- 1. Remove panels and inspect base: Take off the lower front or side panel and look for standing water in the base pan. Use towels or a wet/dry vacuum to remove water.
- 2. Locate overflow switch: Many Iceman units have a safety float or leak sensor in the base. Ensure it moves freely and is not stuck in the "full" position. Clean any debris.
- 3. Identify leak source: With water still off, inspect the reservoir, hoses, pump housing, and inlet valve for cracks, loose clamps, or mineral trails indicating a leak path.
- 4. Tighten and replace parts: Tighten hose clamps, reseat hoses, and replace any cracked tubing or reservoir components. If the inlet valve or pump is leaking from the body, replace the entire assembly.
- 5. Test for leaks: Restore water and briefly power the unit while watching all joints. Fix any remaining drips before reassembling panels.
Warning: Do not bypass or disable the leak detection switch; it protects against water damage.
