Possible Causes
Misadjusted ice thickness probe, Stuck water level float, Control board not terminating freeze cycle correctly
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Unplug the unit before adjusting sensors.
- 1. Inspect ice thickness probe: Ensure it is not bent away from the evaporator. Clean off any scale and verify it is mounted at the correct distance per the manual.
- 2. Check water level control: Make sure the float or level sensor is not stuck in the low position, causing overfilling. Clean and free up movement.
- 3. Reduce thickness setting: If your Iceman model allows, slightly reduce the ice thickness setting and test several cycles.
- 4. Control board evaluation: If adjustments have no effect, the control board may not be reading the sensor correctly and may need replacement.
