Possible Causes
Water supply turned off, Clogged water inlet valve screen, Failed circulation pump, Severely dirty evaporator or scale buildup
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Unplug the Iceman ice maker and shut off water before internal inspection.
- 1. Confirm basics: Ensure the unit is switched to ICE mode, not CLEAN or STANDBY. Verify the ice bin is properly installed and not triggering a bin-full sensor.
- 2. Check water supply: Confirm the external shutoff valve is open and the supply line is not kinked. Disconnect at the unit and verify strong flow into a bucket.
- 3. Inspect water system: Remove panels and check the inlet valve screen, reservoir, and circulation pump for blockages. Clean and descale as needed.
- 4. Observe operation: With panels temporarily off and power restored, watch a cycle: verify the compressor, fan, and pump all run, and that water flows over the evaporator. If any component is not operating, troubleshoot that specific part (pump, fan, compressor start components).
- 5. Descale evaporator: Heavy mineral buildup can prevent proper heat transfer. Run a full cleaning/descaling cycle with Iceman-approved cleaner, following the manual exactly, then test ice production again.
