Ice tastes bad (chemical, metallic, or plastic taste)

Safety: Follow all instructions on cleaning chemicals; do not ingest ice until taste is normal.

• 1. Replace water filter: If equipped, install a new Iceman-compatible water filter cartridge.
• 2. Flush system: Run several complete ice-making cycles and discard the ice to flush out any residual cleaner or plastic odors.
• 3. Check water source: Taste the tap water feeding the unit. If it tastes bad, correct the plumbing or use a filtered supply.
• 4. Clean bin and reservoir: Perform a full cleaning and sanitizing procedure to remove any absorbed odors.
