Safety first: Unplug the ice maker before accessing the control area.
- Check connectors: Reseat the display module connector on the UI board and the harness to the main board.
- Inspect for corrosion: Look for moisture damage or corrosion on the display PCB. Clean lightly with isopropyl alcohol if minor.
- Measure low-voltage output: If equipped and you are qualified, measure the 5V/12V outputs from the main board. If unstable, replace the main control board.
- Replace display/UI: If power is stable but the display remains corrupted, replace the user interface/display assembly.
