E08 error, ice cubes are very small, thin, or hollow

Safety first: Turn off water and unplug the unit before disconnecting water lines.

• Replace or remove water filter: If your Ikea ice maker is connected through an inline filter, replace the cartridge according to the schedule. A clogged filter reduces flow and causes small cubes.
• Inspect water line: Check the flexible water line from the household supply to the ice maker for kinks or sharp bends. Straighten or replace as needed.
• Clean water distribution tube: Access the internal water distribution tube or spray bar above the evaporator plate. Mineral deposits can block holes. Soak the tube in warm vinegar solution and clear each opening with a toothpick.
• Test water inlet valve flow: With water line disconnected from the reservoir, briefly energize the valve (technician or service mode) to observe flow. Weak or pulsing flow indicates a failing valve; replace the water inlet valve.
• Run several cycles: After cleaning and replacing parts, run multiple ice cycles to flush air and confirm normal cube size.
