Ice cubes are too small, thin, or hollow in the center

Safety first: Turn off water and unplug the unit before servicing the water system.

• Clean inlet screen and filter: Remove the water line at the back and clean the mesh screen in the inlet valve. Replace any inline filter.
• Descale distribution system: Remove and soak the water distribution tube or spray bar in warm vinegar to dissolve scale. Clear each nozzle.
• Check water pressure: Ensure household water pressure is adequate (typically 30–120 psi). Low pressure will cause small cubes.
• Replace inlet valve: If flow remains weak despite good pressure and clean lines, replace the water inlet valve.
