Ice maker produces ice but very slowly, much less than rated capacity

Safety first: Disconnect power before cleaning coils or internal surfaces.

• Clean condenser thoroughly: Dust and lint on the condenser coil significantly reduce capacity. Brush and vacuum until fins are clean.
• Descale evaporator plate: Mineral buildup on the stainless plate insulates it. Use a manufacturer-approved descaling solution in the reservoir and run a cleaning cycle. Rinse thoroughly afterward.
• Check installation environment: Ensure adequate ventilation around the unit and that ambient temperature is within the specified range.
• Monitor performance: After cleaning, measure ice output over 24 hours. If still far below spec and the compressor runs continuously, a sealed system issue may exist and requires a technician.
