Ice maker will not start after being turned off for cleaning or moving

Safety first: Ensure the unit is upright and has been standing for several hours after moving before powering on.

• Power cycle: Unplug the Ikea ice maker for at least 5 minutes, then plug back in and attempt to start.
• Check safety thermostat: Some models have a manual-reset high-limit thermostat near the compressor or evaporator. Press the reset button if present.
• Bleed water line: Disconnect the water line at the back and briefly open the supply to remove air, then reconnect.
• Verify level: Ensure the unit is level; some ice makers will not operate correctly if tilted.
