Ice maker is very noisy during operation; rattling, grinding, or loud humming sounds.

Safety first: Unplug the unit before tightening or touching moving parts.

• Level the unit: Use a bubble level or smartphone app to ensure the ice maker sits flat. Adjust feet or surface as needed.
• Check for external vibration: Make sure the unit is not touching walls or other appliances that can amplify noise.
• Inspect fan: Remove the rear/bottom panel and check that the fan blades are tight on the motor shaft and not hitting any shrouds. Tighten or reposition as needed.
• Listen for pump noise: A loud buzzing or grinding from the bottom of the reservoir can indicate a failing circulation pump. If noise persists and ice production is affected, replace the pump.
• Tray motor noise: Grinding during ice dump may indicate worn tray motor gears. If the noise is severe or accompanied by tray jams, replace the tray motor assembly.
