• Inspect tray alignment: Ensure the ice tray sits correctly on its pivots and is not warped or dislodged.
• Check water spout: Locate the water distribution tube or spout above the tray. Make sure it is aimed into the tray and not cracked.
• Clean mineral buildup: Scale can cause water to spray unpredictably. Clean the spout and tray edges with a vinegar solution and rinse.
• Observe a cycle: With the lid open and unit running, watch the fill. If water shoots too forcefully, the pump may be overdriving due to a restriction elsewhere; clean the intake screen.
• Replace damaged parts: If the tray is warped or the water tube is cracked, replace the affected component.
