Possible Causes
Failed circulation pump motor, Blocked pump inlet screen, Airlock in pump, Loose or damaged pump wiring
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Unplug the ice maker and drain water before removing the pump.
- Check water level: Ensure the reservoir is filled to the correct level. Low water can cause the pump to suck air and trigger an error.
- Listen for pump: When the unit starts a cycle (with power on), listen for a humming or water flow sound. If silent, suspect a failed pump or power issue.
- Clean pump inlet: Remove the ice basket and access the pump at the bottom of the reservoir. Clean any debris or scale from the pump inlet screen.
- Bleed air: Tilt the unit slightly forward and backward (with water in the reservoir) to help remove trapped air from the pump.
- Inspect wiring: With power off, check the pump’s two-wire connector and harness for damage. Reseat the connector at both the pump and control board.
- Replace pump: If the pump does not run when powered and wiring is intact, replace the water circulation pump with a Kismile-compatible unit, ensuring all hoses are reconnected securely to prevent leaks.
