Insufficient water in reservoir, Misreading water level sensor, Mineral buildup on float, Reservoir drain plug not fully seated
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Disconnect power before removing internal parts.
- Refill reservoir: Remove the ice basket and fill the reservoir to the MAX line with clean, potable water. Do not overfill.
- Check drain plug: Ensure the rear or bottom drain plug is fully inserted and sealed so water does not leak out during operation.
- Clean float/sensor: Locate the water level float and clean it with warm water and mild detergent to remove scale or slime that may cause sticking.
- Reset unit: Plug the unit back in and press the power button to restart. If L1 persists, inspect the water level sensor wiring and consider replacing the sensor assembly.
