Safety: Unplug the unit before touching the compressor or condenser; they may be hot.
- Check evaporator temperature: After 10–15 minutes of operation, carefully feel near the evaporator (without touching live parts). It should be very cold. If it remains warm, there is a cooling issue.
- Listen to compressor: If the compressor is not running (no vibration or hum), check for E5 or other errors and inspect the overload and PTC starter.
- Clean condenser: Remove dust from the condenser coil and ensure the fan is running to avoid overheating.
