Possible Causes

Room temperature too high for ice production, Blocked ventilation grilles, Failed condenser fan, Dirty condenser coil

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Unplug the unit before cleaning or moving it.

  • Check room temperature: Klarstein ice makers typically require ambient temperatures below about 32°C. Move the unit to a cooler room if necessary.
  • Improve airflow: Ensure at least 15–20 cm clearance around the unit. Do not enclose it in cabinets or under low shelves.
  • Clean condenser: Vacuum and brush dust from the rear or side condenser coil. This greatly improves heat dissipation.
  • Verify fan operation: Plug in and start the unit; confirm that the condenser fan runs whenever the compressor is on. Replace the fan motor if it does not start or is very weak.

After improving cooling and airflow, reset the unit. If H1/HI continues, a faulty temperature sensor or control board may be misreading temperatures.
