Possible Causes
Dirty or scaled evaporator surface, Incorrect tray heating/defrost timing, Weak tray motor, Low water mineral content affecting release
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the Klarstein ice maker before touching the evaporator or tray.
- Clean evaporator: Use a soft cloth and descaling solution to remove mineral deposits from the metal ice-making surface. Rinse with clean water and dry.
- Check tray movement: Manually move the tray (if possible) to ensure it can tilt freely. Obstructions or stiffness indicate a mechanical issue.
- Adjust ice size: Select a smaller ice size so cubes freeze less solidly and release more easily.
- Use normal mineral content water: Extremely soft or distilled water can sometimes cause sticking; try standard tap water if safe to drink.
If cubes still fail to release, the tray motor or defrost/heater control on the PCB may need replacement.
