How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety First: Unplug the unit and turn off water before cleaning.
Cleaning steps:
- Discard old ice: Empty the ice bin completely.
- Clean bin and reservoir: Wash with warm water and mild detergent, then sanitize with a solution of 1 tablespoon of bleach per gallon of water. Rinse thoroughly.
- Descale system: Run a cleaning cycle (if available) using a manufacturer-approved ice machine cleaner or a diluted vinegar solution, then flush with fresh water.
- Replace filter (if present): Install a new inline water filter.
- Flush supply line: Run water through the supply line before reconnecting to the ice maker.
