How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Turn off power and water supply before disconnecting water lines.
- Check household water: Ensure the shutoff valve is fully open and supply line is not kinked. Water pressure should be at least 20–40 psi.
- Replace water filter: A clogged LG water filter can reduce flow. Replace the filter if it is older than 6 months or flow is weak.
- Inspect fill tube: Check the ice maker fill tube for ice blockage. Thaw if frozen.
- Test inlet valve: With a multimeter, test the ice maker solenoid coil on the water inlet valve for proper resistance. Replace the valve if the coil is open or if it does not open when energized.
- Clear error: After correcting the issue, reset power and allow several hours for the ice maker to cycle.
