How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety: Disconnect power before removing covers or touching wiring.

Access the ice room: Remove the ice bin and any covers to expose the ice room fan housing.
Check for obstructions: Look for ice chunks, packaging, or insulation blocking the fan. Clear any debris and ensure the fan can rotate freely.
Inspect the fan connector: Locate the fan motor connector and ensure it is fully seated. Look for corrosion or burnt pins. Clean and reconnect if needed.
Defrost the compartment: If frost is heavy around the fan, unplug the unit and allow a full defrost (12–24 hours) with doors open. Place towels to catch water.
Test after reset: Restore power and monitor for the error. If the error returns and the fan does not run or runs erratically, replace the ice room fan motor assembly.
Board diagnosis: If a new fan does not resolve the error, the main control board may be defective and should be tested/replaced by a professional.
