Ice has a bad taste or odor.

Safety: Use only potable water for the refrigerator.

• Replace water filter: Install a new LG-approved filter if older than 6 months.
• Discard old ice: Empty the ice bin completely and wash it with warm, soapy water. Rinse and dry thoroughly before reinstalling.
• Check supply line: If a plastic line is used, consider replacing with a copper or braided line to reduce odor absorption.
• Control freezer odors: Clean the freezer interior and store foods in sealed containers. Use baking soda to absorb odors.
• Flush system: Dispense and discard several glasses of water and several batches of ice after filter replacement.
