How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Follow manufacturer instructions when resetting electronics.
- Verify ice maker is ON: Check the ice maker power switch or control panel setting and ensure ice making is enabled.
- Reset power: Unplug the refrigerator for 5 minutes, then plug back in to reset the control board.
- Run test cycle: Press the ice maker test button to force a cycle. Observe for proper operation.
- Wait full cycle time: Allow up to 24 hours after power restoration for normal ice production to resume.
- Replace ice maker or PCB: If the ice maker never initializes or responds to test, replace the ice maker. If still unresponsive, the main PCB may be faulty.
